Roundup: Iyer quietly returns to the Twenty20 league for KKR

Kolkata: During a Kolkata Knight Riders internal practise match, middle-order batsman Shreyas Iyer made a somewhat tense comeback to the T20 format after a break of more than three months. Shreyas, who will captain KKR in the Indian Premier League, didn’t exactly appear at ease in the middle as he scored 22 off 19 balls until Phil Salt stumped him off a left-arm spinner from the area. Shreyas last participated in a Twenty20 match at Bengaluru, Australia, in December. In the meantime, tomorrow will see Mitchell Starc, the IPL auction record holder, join the KKR team.
