<p>In 1904, Naval Tata was born into a middle-class household. In Ahmedabad’s Advanced Mills, his father worked as a spinning master. He passed away in 1908. After that, his family moved to Navsari. Through her needlework, Naval Tata’s mother was the family’s only source of income. When Naval Tata was boarded at the JN Petit Parsi Orphanage, he was a little boy. Here, Ratanji Tata’s wife Navajbai took him in and changed his life. At the moment, Naval Tata was thirteen years old. After earning his economics degree from Bombay University, he proceeded to London to study accounting.</p>
<p>Naval Tata married Sooni Commissariat after growing up and taking over the family company. Together, they produced two sons, Ratan Tata and Jimmy Tata. In the 1940s, the pair parted ways. Then, in 1955, Naval Tata wed the Swiss entrepreneur Simone Dunoyer. Their son is Noel Tata.</p>
<p>Ratan Tata, the former chairman of Tata Sons, had a stepmother named Simone Tata, the wife of Naval Tata. Simone Tata is also the creator of the well-known cosmetics brand Lakme and the well-liked retailer Westside.</p>
<p>For the uninitiated, on Republic Day of 1969, the President of India bestowed the Padma Bhushan to Naval Tata. Cancer claimed his life in Bombay on May 5, 1989.</p>
