In order to support the state's micro, small, and medium-sized firms (MSMEs), Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced the creation of a new body that would investigate canal possibilities and develop regulations to provide less expensive transportation choices.
Yogi said that the first canal in Uttar Pradesh, which runs from Varanasi to Haldia, is operational and that the proposed body should carry out a survey as part of its duties.
He said that although the Agra-Lucknow Expressway was almost finished when his administration took office in 2017, Uttar Pradesh had the Yamuna Expressway.
The Chief Minister said that the previous administration had no formal plan to link east UP with the western region of the state and the main towns.
He emphasized Uttar Pradesh's boundless potential and stated the state administration has conveyed this to the country by creating new programs.
Additionally, he requested that the MSME department establish two institutions to support businesses in Saharanpur and Aligarh.
To provide local business owners access to top-notch designs for wooden items, the institution should be established in Saharanpur.
He advised the other institution to support those establishing units at the Aligarh node of the defense corridor.
